I strongly believe that the combination of YOGA and PILATES benefits us more than either one or the other......
I have often done just a PILATES work out,with little or no real stretching ...I found that I was often shaky, exhausted, and uncomfortably stiff the next day...my pelvis and lower lumber, which were injured from ballet are healed but are still vulnerable were not coping with the strain....I began to combine the two classes...PILATES AND YOGA...in my own practice and found it to be a brilliant combination.
DE-STRESS BREATHING (pranayama)
Correct breathing enhances every part of your life...eventually leading to meditation....done regularly will lead to life changes that you didn't know were possible.
MEDITATION
Meditation is simply "the absence of ordinary thought"....If you think you cant meditate you are wrong, in fact you probably do something similar every time you day dream, or loose concentration.....
There are many different kinds of meditation...4 of which I have studied .......they are
1/ AFFIRMATION MEDITATION
(also known as TM)
2/ CREATIVE VISUALIZATION
3/ SENSATION AWARENESS.
(also know as Vippassana)
4/ STILL MIND MEDITATION.
(also known as Classical Hatha Med.)

the "END GOAL "in my opinion....here there are no distractions such as breath counts, sensations or visuals, there is nothing....all that is left is a living breathing organism....This truly is BLISS.....
PRIVATE CLASSES
Private classes are extremely beneficial.....Having a class TAYLORED to meet you individual needs will make you FITTER and HAPPIER faster.....
A combination of Yoga / Pilate’s / De-stress Breath / and Meditation is, in my opinion the very best way to get super fit, happy and relaxed.
